New from BCS version 1647
From version 1647 (August 2024), you can select or deselect the postcode filter when installing BarcodeShipping. Previously, this filter was always installed automatically and ran in the background without a selection option. In older versions it worked automatically, but now you have the option to decide for yourself whether you want to use it.
When installing the filter from version 1647, the filter is automatically active, but can now be configured.
The active filter in BarcodeShipping ensures that some postcodes are automatically adjusted when an order is opened. These are format adjustments, not a check of the correctness of the postcodes! For example, the required space is inserted in the postcode for UK shipments if it is missing when the order is transferred from the shop.
Deactivate filter:
If you do not want the automatic function, but have already installed the module, open the settings window in the BCS menu via File. Navigate to Filter and activate the entry Postcodes. In the right-hand window, you can deactivate the checkbox and click on Apply or Save at the bottom right. Repeat this step for each of your profiles.
Warning:
If deactivated, postcodes are no longer adjusted automatically. If an incorrectly spelled postcode is transferred in the format, you will probably receive an error from the sender and the shipment and label cannot be created automatically.
